Berries & Cherries
Buying frozen berries and cherries
Frozen berries are the most practical way to have blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and cherries on hand all year. They keep for months in the freezer, you use exactly what you need, and there is no waste from fruit that turns before you get to it.
This range covers three labels. Harvestime is the everyday choice, with wild blueberries, sour cherries, Australian blackberries and raspberries (including broken and crumbled raspberries, which are ideal for baking and sauces). Elgin Organic is the organic range, from 350g packs of wild blueberries up to catering cartons of 10–13.6kg for cafés and kitchens. Berryfields is Australian-grown fruit such as the 3 Berry Mix and blueberries.
For households, 500g and 1kg bags are the easiest place to start. If you go through berries quickly (smoothies every morning, a bakery, a café) the multi-packs and bundles bring the price per kilo down noticeably: the listing shows the per-kilo price so you can compare.

Berries & Cherries questions
Are wild blueberries different from regular blueberries?
Yes. Wild blueberries are smaller and grow naturally rather than on cultivated bushes, so you get more berries per handful and a more intense colour and flavour. Both Harvestime and Elgin Organic stock wild blueberries in this range.
Which berries are best for baking?
Firm fruit like blueberries and cherries hold their shape well in muffins and pies. Broken and crumbled raspberries are the economical choice for sauces, fillings and anything where the berries get stirred through.
Do you sell frozen berries in bulk?
Yes. Most berries come in 1kg bags, multi-pack bundles with a lower price per kilo, and Elgin Organic catering cartons of 10–13.6kg. See also our bulk buying range.
